It would be best to have the water filtrated and dechlorinated before using it in the fish tank. Remember to keep the school of discus fish in groups and to not include different varieties of fish to live amongst it. For discus care to be effective there should be at least 5 or more discuss fish in a water tank because a lone discus fish would be very sad and unhealthy.
